Meera, who belongs to the state of Sikkim, is an industry professional and entrepreneur with over 25 years of experience in business management, project management, brand building, design, consumer experience, marketing and communications across a myriad of verticals with an extensive experience in the Indian and ASEAN industries. She is the only woman entrepreneur to have successfully spearheaded the commissioning of the first hydel power project of 110 MW in the State of Sikkim in North East India.

Meera has also been instrumental in building brands like TCI (Transport Corporation of India) & Gati as admired brands in the logistics industry. She played a critical role in conceptualizing and executing the brand strategy for Gati through enhanced consumer experience and marketing communication tools coupled with her deep understanding of marketing and brand management.

Meera is at the moment concentrating on building Avaan India – a group of companies solving the new age problems of logistics through innovative and sustainable models. Some of them being Avaan Excess – a disruptor in the excess baggage segment (a business which recently received the best innovation start up award by ET Now), Avaan Academy – which is focusing on bridging the skill gap of the Indian youth to increase employment in the field of logistics and Avaan Intellect – delivering quality education through experiential learning & skill development.
